Back on track
Finally finished Week 3 today. Started to look at the video tutorial on flickr but hated the fuzzy image and decided it was telling me more than I really needed to know so I stopped it half way through. Now I can get on to RSS feeds and make Ellen happy.

Back in Business
Finally got going again. Retrieved my gmail password and uploaded 2 images from flickr and a slideshow. I could not have done it without Ellen's help and we had challenges along the way too.
While this is fun it is not always as simple and straightforward as it seems. I had to create a Yahoo acoount to be able to transfer images from flickr to my blog - more acoounts and paswords to remember - or forget! Oh help! This time I will write down (in a safe place) all my account names and passwords or else I will get stuck again. Yes there is such a thing as password fatigue.

Second Day
Phew! What a relief. Yesterday I set up my blog. Today I could get back into it and even work out how to write a second posting. I think my blog site is looking boring , especially compared with others in the program, so that will probably be the next thing for me to conquer.
Fortunately I have almost finished the activities for week 2 unless I get adventurous.
The 3 blogs we looked at were all different from each other but really not that inspiring. The Powerhouse Museum blog was very dull in appearance. I really liked the pictures in the War Memorial exhibition blog but it was only about one exhibition so has a limited shelf life. The Library of Congress blog is huge. Some entries I read were interesting and others bored me. Now there's a challenge - how to write and maintain an interesting and lively blog that others would want to read on an ongoing basis.

First Post
I think I've set my blog up successfully so it will be interesting to see how it looks. So many new web addresses and passwords I'm worried my brain will fail and I'll forget some essential part.
I enjoyed Stephen Fry in Week 1 and like many others watched more of him than was suggested. At least his film clips were clear, unlike the first one we had to watch. I did not like the blurry, fuzzy image on the screen. Already I suspect that this program will take up more than 15 minutes a day or shall we say 75 minutes per week. Setting up the gmail account took a while as I tried to find a log in I could remember and was distinctive. There are so many people out there using the Internet and email that getting something simple and unique for a name is quite a challenge.
